Young kids, old lady's and an idiot like me did it. If I can, you can too.

Welcome, what boat do you want to build?

a large portion of us did it with absolutely no woodworking experience to begin with . Your mind is made up. Just admit it and become addicted

NO don't do it, the pain on your face from smiling after you launch is excruciating and lasts for weeks if not longer :D Glen-l are like drug pushers they pull you in with the sniff of sawdust and once they have you they sweeten you up with epoxy and paint fumes, next thing you know your out looking to score another set of plans

You also have to deal with post-construction depression... you know, once you've launched your pride & joy and had to deal with the tons of questions from nearby admirers... then head back home to an empty garage, the epoxy outline of your boat still reminding you of the countless nights you spend sanding, and epoxying, and sanding, and painting, and sanding.

That said, boatbuilding was and is something I will alway cherish having the guts and tenacity to do.
