My name is Greg, but my Screen name is Audeenthree. Just two weeks ago, I purchased an Audeen boat that was built near Stockton were I live. The "three" is because I'm the third owner sinces it was built in 1958. The family has enjoyed many years of boating fun, and had many great stories to tell me as I was getting the boat. The main reason for selling it was the family was getting older, and they could no long keep it up and or use it.
So, after a few months of driving past it, I stoped, fell in love with it, and handed over the cash as fast as I could. It needs a lot of work, but mostly to sand and refinish it, a new motor and transmission, along with alot of other parts. The seats and floor are in good shape, and the windshild fell off the boat last month and broke, other than that and a few thousand bucks, I should be in the water in no time.
I will post pictures next week, my computer is having problems, and when its fixed I can post pictures.
The boat is sound, they re-glassed the bottom last year and painted it. I will be putting it in the water to make sure, once I fix my trailer. Too make sure it still floats before any work is done.
I will be posting my questions, as I start planning an outline on where to start, and where to get parts. I'm starting my dream a little late in life (at 44) but I have always enjoyed wood boats from childhood. Now, I have the boat, time, some money and a dream to enyoy my Audeen for a long time to come.
Sorry this is so long, I will keep my post shorter.
Thank you in advace for answering my questions, and having this forum,
Greg "Audeenthree"
