Hi to all,

I should probably introduce myself before posting anything - so My name is Peter, I am from Latvia EU, which is half way around the world from you guys. I Have been building boats in my mind for a long time, but got to starting one a year ago. I have had trouble allocating time and resources to that, but i plan on fixing it in the future. One of my projects is a William D. Jackson's boat called Doodle Bug, which is nearing completion, another one is the zip, all framed up, waiting for planking (and warmer days).
This forum has been very helpful and inspiring, can find almost all topics covered in here, so i check it quite often. I just want to say that you all are doing a great job sharing your projects, issues and solutions, making it helpful to other boat builders.

Peter

Hot dang, more "porn" for us boat builders

What did you use for your seam caulking? Did you dye it or was that its natural color.

Dave, It was sikaflex 11fc: http://www.sika.com.au/cmc/Datasheets/t ... FC_tds.pdf
It is the natural color. I plan on using the same product, just white for the deck seams.
This is a total economy class project, i use scrap wood etc. have spent a total of about 400 usd for now.
