Who on here would be best to talk to about any problems I might come across in my build? ...Although smaller in size I have built many flying gas model planes up to 6ft wingspan...and thought it is only a bigger task..bigger engine etc...still use ribs etc and still have to be aerodynamic I guess lol

Welcome,
Lots of builders in Au right now that can help source things.
Search for Riviera and you will find others to help specifically with that build, but just post any questions as most builds use the same materials,(wood, plywood, epoxy, paint) and methods, and others that have built inboards can help wit I/B specific questions

Is it wrong to name your boat before you start to build it?? ....When I build RC Planes I always name them before I start....

Nope,not wrong.

But it's also OK to change the name when the boat tells you what it's name is later!!

Its amazing how many name their boats at least in the early stages of their build. A lot of people that do not know each other also have named them the same name,
DAMN BOAT
