Thanks for the welcome.
My Zip certainly does look better in photos.
But it has been under continuous modification. I recently upgraded to a 40hp Yamaha and found out that I now have to put in the spray rails aft that I omitted--I knew there was a reason for those! especially when running at around 30mph. Also I have trawled the forum for a windshield design to keep the spray out when it gets gusty and the waves kick up.
I'm basically a sailor though, and for myself I'm currently lofting a modified Belhaven 19 cat ketch (by B&B Yachts not Glen-L, sorry Gayle). I actually have the plans for the Glen-L 21CB but the Belhaven won over it because the unstayed cat ketch has a whole lot fewer strings and looks like a much easier to rig at the ramp though I'm sure the Glen-L 21CB would be the faster and higher-pointing boat. But I have to say for the record that I prefer do POF rather than messy S&G. Maybe that's why I'm more than glad to help in my friend's Sea Knight build.
