Hi,

I have finally decided to bite the bullet and do this, I am that keen on building a crackerbox that I cant get them out of my head.

I am getting the plans, I have room to do it ( my dad has got himself a factory) and while I personally don't have the expertise, My father has been building boats since he was 17.

I am in a good position at work where i can get my hands on some nice timber for good prices, so I've decided now is the time to do it, I just have so amny things to ask...... where to start haha.

I have been reading about quickstrip planking as i want the hull and deck to be planked for looks, We have the machines to run profiles here at work, I just wanted to know if it is all marketing hype or is this a good option?

I'm picturing a blown hemi crammed into it, ed roth style...... I wish.

Any aussies in here that have started or finished a crackerbox?

Thanks,

Mark.
