I've been lurking for over a year now, seems like time to change that. Boats were not an attraction for me (other than those pricey old Chris-Craft runabouts...) until my son decided to become a Sea Scout. Having a woodworking background, I found myself building a rowing skiff and getting hooked.
I've purchased Whitehall, Zip and Bell Isle plans to build for my Sea Scouts benefit. They'll be able to assist in the construction and learn some skills. And to appreciate how little work is involved in maintaining a boat vs. building one.
Right now, the boats themselves are on hold while I build a camper. No, not one of the Glen-L designs, but they inspired me to configure one to my specific needs. I'll post a thread in the RV section with photos soon.
