Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I'm a young 63 year old and am thinking about building my first boat. I'm good with wood and have a good variety of tools (need more clamps). Not looking or anything that's fast, I have an old Boston Whaler with a 115 on it. Ideally I want a decent size row boat that can take a 20 hp. Any suggestions and advice will be appreciated.
Cheers

Welcome Bob, Thanks for introducing yourself.
Have you looked at the Power Row-Skiff? Maybe the 15' version. Or the Sissy Do 13? 20hp is on the high side for most boats that can also be rowed.
Enjoy!

A recent Wooden Boat magazine (?http://www.woodenboat.com/sites/default ... 30-toc.pdf?) had a discussion of tenders and the factors to look at - although IIRC the author wasn't keen on rower with motors - I don't recall why
