Excited to be joining the Glen-L Community

Post by fpjeepy »

Hello,
I'm joining the Glen-L forums, because is appears to be the largest community of amateur builders. I haven't found a Glen-L design that I am crazy about yet, but I guess if I had to pick a favorite it would be the 18 Kingfisher.
I really like the Custom Carolina style boats so I'm leaning towards building something like Timm Smith's 18 Kitty hawk or Kurt Cerny's 16 The hill. I would like to use the strip plank construction method like Cerny's design.
I've just moved to Annapolis, MD and would love to network with anyone local!

Welcome FP.
Hope you find a design and get cracking. You have certainly come to the right place if building a boat yourself is what you want. Let us know how you progress with your decisions, and post piccies when you start the build.
By the time I have built a boat, I'll be ready to build a boat....
