Another new guy from Northwest Arkansas.

I've lurked on several forums and finally decided that the Flats Flyer is what I want to build. I still need to research the build technique (last few years I've looked at the stitch and glue technique) but look forward to getting started.

Welcome aboard!
Start with the 'bible' (Boat Building With Plywood). That will give you the foundation you need.

Perhaps the slowest Zip build in Glen-L history...

And there are several on the forum that have either completed a Flats Flyer or, like myself, in the process of building one. I have flipped mine, but due to a job relocation, I'm on hold till the fall before I can get back on it.

Good luck, ask anything, and post lot's of photos.
Happy Boating,
Tracy
