New guy from the Inland Empire, Southern California

Postby Virago » Wed Sep 28, 2016 5:39 pm

Hi,
This is Chester from Loma Linda, in the Peoples Republic of California.
Dad had built a Glen-l Flying Saucer in the 1960's and all of the many cousins earned to ski behind her and Uncle George. My pride as a son was not quite as much that he was a doctor but that, "... and my dad has built a boat!"
Hopefully, my first build will be the Chippewa Canoe in 13 feet. Wife is pushing for a Stand-Up Paddleboard.
I am quite taken with the Whitehall row boat, as I guess many are.
Dream of a dream would be to build a Tahoe-19! Wow!
Thanks, Chester (Virago)

Virago: Welcome to the forum. Any of the boats you mentioned would be fine boats to build. When you start, be sure to post pics. Also, you should add your location to your profile. It helps others help you source supplies.

My wife said "If I build a boat, she's getting a divorce."
