Hi,
My name is Tim Mueller and I bought plans for the TNT back in Oct. I have been polking around the web-site and forums since then. I and my two young assistants (12 and 15) have begun work and have most of the frames done.

In the early 70's my Dad and I (ok, mostly my Dad) built a "Yellowjacket" from Popular Mechanics plans. We had a 48' Merc 10hp (wish I still had that!). The boat went (sold) with my parents cabin about 8 years ago when I didn't have any place for it :(

So now that we have our own cabin to play at and my assistants (kids) are of age to drive and build it's time to build a boat!

Welcome,

You will find the TNT to be a great boat...maybe not as fast, maybe with right power faster, but more versatile.

Great to be involved building with your kids.

Warren

I remember the Yellow Jacket. It was a fun little boat. Too bad you could not hold onto it. I also helped my dad build first boat. It was a Chris Craft kit boat. Wish he would have kept it.

Welcome dothemath! I love to hear of fathers building boats with their kids. You are teaching them so much that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives, as you know. Good for you for continuing the tradition. I think I might have spoken to you by phone or email... anyway, enjoy the Forum--these guys are the BEST!
