Hello all, first time here so I will post first here.

I am zeroing in on a design I like for a liveaboard for my wife and me. I like the looks of the Jolly Roger, but it is not big enough for what I need. I want to build a 38-42 footer. Could I add extra frames amidships or would that throw everything off?

That is a nice design.

Usually if the design can be stretched,they mention it.

This one Glen-L says can be stretched 10% by respacing frames aft of the stem.

That would take it to around 30',but not the 38-42 you would like.

If you just add extra frames amidships,the hull form won't be right.

I would look at the Argosy or Corinthian. Welcome to the forum also.

Thanks fellas, The Argosy should work. I suppose I could do some modifications to the pilot house, etc. to make it look more like the JR
