A quick clip of my Glen L 14 sailing on Lough Gowna In Ireland.

Not exactly a master class in sailing, but then I've been building for the last few years, I'm out of practice sailing

Dave; Looking good. Certainly appears stable with little heeling under those winds anyway. Glad to see your crew aboard also.

Sweet. I had imagined the GL-14 to be really similar to the Schock Lidos upon which I first trained. Your girl seems to have a good bit more freeboard, though, which would make me more comfortable going out past the breakwaters in it. Are you just using the main for trials? How does she point with a headsail bent?

Still re-learning how sail 8-)
The Jib will come into play once I've got the main sorted.

Also, with mini crew, the main alone is easier to handle.

Good to get to know your boat in stages

I was really impressed with kcooper's Glen-L 15 at lake Guntersville in that breeze.

I imagine the 14 will be almost as stable.....cool designs

Yes,

Day 2 was Sooo much better than Day 1

Pity the summer is mostly over.

While summer is not really HOT here, and winter is not really COLD,
Winter here does grey, damp and miserable to a fine art.

Dave,

Great to see your boat in the water and under sail. I have really enjoyed my Glen-L 14. With the jib, it really points well and does a good turn of speed for its size.

Wicked, I would keep that trailer close at hand through the winter... your weather is just like it is here, so I am sure you'll get a few nice stretches where you'll want to take her out for a spin.

My main problem is the little'uns are a little to little to take out sailing in the cold.

A very nice boat. I'm wanting to build a Glen-L 25 Duet, but my wife wants me to start with something smaller, like a Glen-L 14 or 15. What advice can you give me. I plan on working on what ever we build 8 hours a day at lest 3 days a week, between classes.

Thanks,
James.
