Wire Rope

Dinghies, day sailers, world cruisers. Many small sailboats make ideal rowboats or low-speed power boats.

Wire Rope

Post by Stuart » Sun May 22, 2016 6:54 pm

I have 3/16 Stainless Steel 7-19 wire rope for center board. I can find plated copper crimps but now I'm thinking stainless steal screw clamps. Any reason not to use three screw clamps for looping the wire rope.

Thanks special. That was an interesting link. I have ordered three stainless steel threaded clamps to loop the wire over the eye. Good idea to use a bottle jack press to close a swage crimp though. Just never thought of it before the money left my hand. :(
