Have Glen L15 build in 1974. Had 7.5HP outboard on it last year and want to use 15HP motor this year. Do I need to install a transom knee for this motor?
I know the newer 15's can use 15 HP outboards....wander if they are build differently, my boat is build with 1/4" planks
I installed 3/4 oak braces on transom already......

another question is: where can I get remote control cables....and rope type steering components??
The one in the picture are too long..

Nice looking boat! The Glen-L 15 is designed for plywood construction and we recommend motors up to 7.5 hp. Since sailboats are displacement hulls, doubling the power won't result in much if any increase in speed. See our article about this: https://www.glen-l.com/weblettr/weblett ... html#plane

We don't have any suppliers for remote control cables--perhaps someone else can chime in...

:? Since you won't be heeling, I wonder if spray rails might give enough lift to help?
