Wow! What a fantastic boat. Looks great. One thing you might check is the bottom for flatness, particularly in the aft 1/3. I am sure you already have, but just in case, as that sort of thing may cause such issues. It is difficult to see if it is floating or bottomed in those pictures but doesn't seem to float nose heavy from what I can see?
Great job!!!
Great job!!!
By the time I have built a boat, I'll be ready to build a boat....

Thanx again guys!!Skiman22 wrote:GREAT LOOKING BOAT! How many hours did it take to build.Any up dates on the handling of the boat( turning)
Not sure about hours but i think i had it don't in about 3 - 4 months if i remember correctly!
I later on put aluminum L channels running on each side of the engine and the turning was day and nite difference!! I think its a must on this boat. The other thing that is a must which i havent done yet is spray rails!! Another thing i added was a 10" hydraulic engine lift.. which i thiink helped a bit in trimming the bow up a bit.. plus it makes the boat look much cooler :p
Havent been using the boat for quite a while... and its still not 100% complete... soon ill finish it up and maybe post a few more photos!
Cheers
Zane

G'day Z_Wood,
I'm a new member here and would love to build a flats flyer within the next couple of years.
Couple of questions for you if you don't mind?
I can't see it mentioned in here but what is it's top speed with the 250?
I like my fishing boats fast......
How shallow can it go on the plane?

Hi Natho
The boat should be way faster than the speed i got... i planked the whole thing with 12mm ply rather than the 9mm which is what the plans called for. Reason was simply cuz i used what i had... stupid mistake. So the boat came out really heavy. If i had used the 9mm i would easily go over 60mph but right now i believe im below 50 if i remember correctly.
That being said i think you MUST install bottom strakes and spray rails for a better and dryer ride!
Cheers
