So, my big brother was playing guitar and I figured I'd try it too.

Well done indeed!

I told my wife we needed a three-car garage for my projects...she told me to ask her for permission next time before I buy a house.

Thanks again for the compliments.
We had her out again this morning after some adjustments and adding 840 lbs of ballast to set her down a bit. Feels even more stable in the water. At 3000 rpm we got around 6.5 knots, and at 2200 abiut 5.5 knots. 2200 seems to be her sweet spot...just loafing :)
We ran nearly 2 1/2 hours, (about 1 hr at 2500) I measured the 22 gallon tank before and after and fuel went down around 1/16 of an inch. Not figured out yet but 20 litres raises it 6 inches. Don't think it's going to be a pig on fuel!
Verna was at the helm all mornig and quickly got comfortable with her docking.
Incidently, we can't go anywhere without getting hounded by admirerers. Very pleased with the design and results.

Do you think she would like a bow thruster? With say, wind docking? I have to say she is just plan "COOL"!!
Got to love your work!!!
What will her all up weight be?
Thanks,and GOOD JOB!

P.S. Would love to see some under power? 1500,2200,3000 rpm??? Just jump on one of the boats that wont let you alone? LOL But you will need to give them a ride also? LOL

TUG; With the big prop and that profiled rudder the handling is about the best I've seen in a single screw vessel. It"s really unbelievable how well that rudder works! When you turn her hard over (about 45 degrees ) the prop wash ( lots of it too! ) comes almost straight out the side of the boat at the rudder centre.

Flordia; The little Ranger does a great job of towing, but the gathering is a little stretch for it  .
