Perth Riviera hits (perhaps glides into) the water

Post by ACrocker » Tue Apr 08, 2014 2:44 am

Hi all,

My Riviera build has reached its conclusion with the boat finally getting wet this last weekend. All went well with only a minor amount of water suggesting some packing needs tightening. Looking forward to many more pleasurable hours before Fall turns to Winter here in Australia. Videos of the event are here:

HD Version (if you have lots of bandwidth): http://youtu.be/_-nPycZMeOY
Non HD Version (if you don't): http://youtu.be/0I_A1wtHoqY

Thanks also to all those that have provided feedback to my relentless (and now, happily for all, finished) blogging on the build process.

All the best with your build whatever it may be. Take this event as proof positive that anyone can build one of these things and be mightily happy with the outcome (once you get used to looking past all your faults and start enjoying it as a boat rather than attempt at unattainable perfection).

WOW Great looking boat Well done. Looks like it rides smooth in the water. Great video.
When you think about ha many boat owners there are, By comparison there are just a small present of us that have built a boat from scratch. So thanks to Glen L for providing us with the plans and support. So to all of us that have done this we should be very proud of ourselves.

Stunning boat! I love the white bottom and teal on the seats--very classic look!

Looked like the perfect launch day to me. Just awesome!
