Launch of my Utility, "Perseverance"

Post by BarnacleMike »

I actually launched my Utility for the first time at G9. Although the boat wasn't finished at the time, the hull was completed and I had my temporary registration paperwork with the State of Georgia.

In August 2016, the boat was finished and "re-launched" just before G10.

Here are some photos of both:

Why did the boatbuilder get a divorce? Because he didn't have enough clamps to hold his marriage together!

We're still happily married, but now she just wants "the dam boat out of the garage."

I loved admiring your work on this boat, Mike. I so glad you brought it to the G.

You offered me a ride and I want you to know that the reason I turned you down had nothing to do with you, your work or your boat. It's ME!! My obesity combined with my arthritis just sent this extremely powerful message to my subconscious that screamed, "DAVID. YOU'RE GOING TO BE SORRY IF YOU TRY TO GET YOUR FAT CARCASS IN AND OUT OF THAT BOAT."

Sorry, I hope you understand.
Isn't it amazing!! The person that never has the fortitude to pursue his own dreams, will be the first to try and discourage you from pursuing yours.

Nice photos of the boat Mike. It really looks at home there on the water.
