I was recently perusing e-bay for a "vintage/retro" looking bow light to go on my Malahini (at some point in the future). I noticed a couple fairly old looking units (maybe from 30's or 40's?) which appeared to have a blue lens in place of the usual green. The sellers didn't seem to know much about it, just thought it might have become "sun-faded" over the years (I've never heard of glass doing that). Somebody else said that the blue was pretty common on older boats. Is that true?

I have certainly seen them with a "bluish green" colour.

I found a source for replacement fresnel lenses in a couple of radii and heights. let me know if you need it... I may be able to find it again.

I got this one on ebay for my malahini for $50,In the end I didn't use it thought it was too much chrome so I might put it on the crackerbox. They are a great looking light if you find one.

Dude- that's awesome! But I think you're right- a little much for the Malahini, but I can't wait to see that on your Crackerbox!
