I'm currently working on the build details for the frames on the TNT and I wanted to see if I could get some info if possible?
Long story short, I'm doing the bottom and side frames in 18mm Mahogany and the double gussets in 6mm Okoume ply. I'm modifying the gussets to span across the bottom frames as single pieces from side frame to side frame and laminated on both fore and aft sides of each frame assembly. I'd like to adjust the molded width of the bottom frame member of frame 2 due to the height of the tunnel roofs and retain the necessary strength of the member.
Does anyone have any calculations or formulas available, as to the difference in "strength" laminating the bottom members would create in regards to the stress loading on the frames?
