Wow, that is rather harsh, even for me! I think I will go up there and borrow it, with all good intentions of paying him back when I have the money, I will even write a proper IOU..wonder if he would feel any better about that?

I thought there was a place in billings but I cannot seem to find it again..hmmmmm...

Even though he has spoke about being hold up in the woods somewhere out west, wood is not really good for a bunker but has work for a temporary shelter. :P I wonder if he could just recycle this one. Its unused right now in Montana.

Boat? Heck I didn't say anything about a B O A T !!! I am trying to build some Kneelers for a church and maybe a cap rail for an iron divider and fun stuff like that! The fact that I get used to workign with mahogany is just a bonus !!!

(Plus if I can order enough extra and charge it to the church I can have enough to make that 28 foot barrel back I have been dreaming about?) So I throw out the fifth commandment...that always gets in the way anyway! ...come to think of it so does that adultery one...hmmmm

I already have them considering letting me order 5 gallons of epoxy for these kneelers...it is GLen-l church supply on the invoice !!! LOL  :P

I actually wasn't thinking you were building a boat I was just wondering what it was you were building. It sounds like a nice project Steve.

Nova SS...that is cuz you know me better than that! Me build a BOAT? Yeah right!
Someday maybe...... :P

Steve

I was working with some honduran mahogany doors and I used Sikkens Cetol 1 and Cetol 23. The finish comes out beautiful. I wonder if you could use that on a wooden boat that would not stay in the water...I think it is oil base...amazing finish! Then if you hit it with a clear coat it would be awesome!

My nephew uses that on his log house. It is beautiful stuff indeed. I love the way it goes on and how quickly it builds up, so to speak. I bet on a boat that is trailered it would be fine. I think Sikens has a clear coat for their products but dont hold me to that.

BUT I do know they make a marine version of Cetol.

You are right, the build up is amazing. I will check into the marine version, and I do believe they have a clear coat as well. I might have stumbled onto something!
