leakcheck, I will bring my 1950's MECHANICS ILLUSTRATED boat, (78") that was built in the late 50's per their plans. It has a 3 h.p. Clinton vertical shaft motor mounted under two mahogany doors and hooked to the lower portion of SOME kind of small outboard. Was built as a IO. I have rebuilt the motor, found a brand new fuel tank on Ebay and I restored the entire boat. Someone SMALL can test it for me. Offers???

I will also bring our extended 10% and beam widened 10" Sea Knight. It may NOT be finished, but will be on a trailer with cabin work in progress. It will have Charlie's one owner 1963 Evinrude Starflight III 75 h.p. mounted. His family requested that they would like for me to have, Charlie would LOVE to attend such a GATHERING. Did I hear someone say BEER.

I will probably bring my 19" long 1930 Rexner race car that ran on a rail system in the 40's and 50's. Very rare car that I found that had not been finshed, so I have spent HOURS & HOURS fab-ing lots of parts. Very neat piece, that I am really proud of.

IS THAT ENOUGH? hehehe.

leakcheck, when I was in HIGH School, YEARS & YEARS ago I was the designated driver, I COULD STILL DO SUCH. :D

P.S. If this EARLY planning of a GATHERING isn't enough MOTIVATI0N to get in gear and bring SOMETHING relating to boating, then I don't know what is. LET'S DO IT.......

Okay, that sounds great Dale....I just sure hope someone tells me what to build so I can bring something too !!!

Steve

PS...I have gone many a year without a drink, so I would be willing to be the designated driver as well...but if I dont HAVE TO !!!! 8)

leakcheck, I think you might as well just DRAW STRAWS. Looks like the ball has been thrown back into your court, with no CLEAR pick.

You are GUARANTEED to fail if you don't pick one, and JUST BUILD IT.

Tell us soon, I can't wait to see.

Dale :)

Yup, I notice that most people did not have the cahones to vote...now I have to continue to agonize over it..guess the stitch and glue would be quicker (and I have never done stitch and glue...) and it is better suited to the jet...but the squirt is soooo classic and would look even more classic as a mini- in board...dang...but the frames are probably warped in my basement by now..wonder if they can be straightened?

Now that Plumber Steve has decided on which build to build. Maybe we can get back to the original topic at hand, The Gathering. ( :P )

Thanks Bill for the pictures of the lake and park. Looks to be a place to enjoy, for sure.
One day.

Hey Steve! (thought I'd carry this conv over to here.. ;) )

I think maybe we should make the whole weekend a speedo-free zone as a RULE of attendance eh? LOL

Yep I agree there is lots to work out between now and then and am not worried. Though I really hope it won't be on the weekend of Oct 8th as that is Tahnksgiving here and will of course be with family.

hmmm never been to Atl yet ;)

Greg, the plane would be quicker and easier, however, a little over a thousand miles is just a day trip. I have done more than that on the harley in a day..and repeated it two days later...we do 7-800 routinely (ok..maybe not routinely...but)

Steve

You would be much more relaxed on a flight though..what is your closest major airport?

Steve

And that is an excellent point abgout the thanksgiving...the "Committee" will have to take those things into account.

Steve;

Where I am in kingston is a 50/50 choice between flyin out of either Ottawa or Toronto. If I go with TO, then there is a commuter flight from Ktown to Toronto....

Lots of time and lots of seat sales between now and then :)
