I never heard about or saw them -- did the Huntsville TV station crew ever make it by to cover the event?

I never saw them or heard anything about them. But if they check on this website and see what went on, I'd bet they'll cover next year's event. So I think there's a guantlet that's been thrown down and that is to make next year's G'ville Gathering even bigger with more boats and more participation.

And I think it would be cool to get as many boats as possible in the water and park them near the cabins in those coves...we can use the tug as a tender.

I'd talked briefly to a couple guys from the Huntsville TV crew shortly after getting there on Friday. They'd asked about the keg beer and I told them it hadn't got here yet. I guess that upset them because that was the last I'd seen of them.

Sounds like everyone had a great time. Sorry I had to miss it. Maybe next year things will be better. Hopefully, we will get rain and the lake here will be high enough to get the boat in.

Lots and Lots of pictures in the Dec 3 Newsletter. 8)

Great Job Gayle.

Gayle shot a lot of video, also. I've seen a lot of it. (Thanks, Gayle!) I smiled all the way through it! :)

Now, Hollywood won't be down to offer her a job behind their camera. :P But, then maybe it was a problem on the other side of the camera.

If it hadn't been blowing 20 knots the video would have been excellent. Like Bill said I was grinning all the way and making comments to my wife as we were watching it. Good job for the first time around Gayle.

I don't have a copy of this DVD yet. Where do I have to go to get one?

BTW, take a look at this photo and tell me what's wrong with Tom Drake's Zip. It seems to have a really bad list to the port side. I was hoping to avoid this problem with my Zip but Miss Connie says she thinks it's pretty much unavoidable. So I think it's a design flaw with Zips.

Thanks guys--so, what you're saying is I shouldn't quit my day job? Ah come on--I thought I'd have a new career to fall back on. Oh well... that dream's shot to heck.

Seriously, glad you enjoyed it...
