Has anybody heard from Jimmy 70?
Remember, he had the 'Super Duper Spartan' with the 115hp outboard on it? Does anybody know of his whereabouts? Is he still online?

I haven't heard or seen anything from him in a long time. I was thinking about that the other day.

He does have an e-mail listed in the member list. try memberlist, total post, descending, he's on page 2.

I am still alive

I ended up with one bad sinus infection down there in Alabama and by the time I got home thought I was going to die from the trip. Course I put off going to the doctor for a month so it was Dec.1st before I went and then I got started on anti-biotics, first two weeks no help, 2nd round for two more weeks, no help, 3rd round of them for two more weeks and finally got that cured. Whew I was wiped out. Feb. 2nd I came down with the Flu something bad and thought I had bit the bullet for a couple more weeks. Damn the luck anyway. I never got feeling decent until the end of May and by that time I was out of the spirt of building my 18' racing boat. I got the plans all drawn up last year and have most of the wood on hand too but just no ambition to get it on this year. Oh well maybe I will start to perk up and start wacking out some support pieces and stack them up and be ready to go when the time comes.

Me and the wife are coming to the event but without the boat, just want to check things out and meet the gang again and maybe get a free ride with some of you folks.

Sorry I haven't posted in quite sometime but been reading the forums.

Jimmy,

There's a seat in my boat, too.

Who's coming

You can add me to the probable list.

If the weather cooperates I'm going to make the run to Chattanooga or beyond again either a couple days before or after. That was great.

Also, it would be nice to find a good trailerable cover that wouldn't a) shred itself on the trip, and b) wear the varnish off the brightwork as it did so. Anyone have any suggestions on a good cover?

Bob

from Texas?

Postby TexasBuilder » Mon Sep 01, 2008 7:21 am

Hey y'all, I was wondering is anyone from Texas going to attend The Gathering? I would like to make it, but would need to split the fuel cost with someone.

I don't know of anybody from Texas, yet. You might touch base with Bayoubengal (Jeff) in Louisiana. I'm not sure he is coming. But, he came last year.

I dont know what you want as far as accomodations, but there is lots of options. There is the cabins, the Lodge, Motels in town, and so on. The top page of the Gathering webpage has many options.
