I knew this was magazine was coming out. Gayle and I have been working on something for it. But, ...

I got a flyer on that. I wondered if we were gonna have to copyright our "Gathering".
Also, the website listed is bogus.

Did anyone manage to get anywhere beyond the splash page?

I tried to click through to subscribe (or at least find out what a subscription costs), and just got linked to a generic PayPal page. Maybe they are still "staging", and aren't ready to operate yet.

(Gayle... if this is their only Customer Acquisition method, I would insist on it being fixed before investing too many advertising dollars. I would also encourage them to get themselves recognized by the search engines)

Question?

With blogs, this and other websites . . . why pay for what you can get free? I wouldn't spend a dime until a real plan emerges . . .

Funny, I just got the offer from Boat Builders Journal in the mail today. The subscription was ... total black out here, but I think is was around $24 for 6 issues.

I was reading the brochure and watching the track of gustav at the same time.

Hold off on getting too excited about the reference to the Boatbuilder Gathering--I'm not certain that is referring to our gathering, but I've emailed Mike, the editor who I've been in contact with about it and I'll let you know as soon as I hear.

Well, in looking back at my email correspondence with Mike, I did tell him about the Gathering, so maybe... keep your finners crossed!

When I first looked at their website in July, there was much less there than now--looks like they're doing it in bits. I suppose the magazine will be the priority! I'll keep you informed!

Got the answer from Mike--the reference is about our Gathering and they will be printing the Press Release that I sent. Kewl... the magazine should be out in a few weeks, so I hope you guys have sent in your subscription forms!
