Hey Bruce - I am not of much help with the food for I would not know where to begin to get what or how much. But I have to pay for all the ideas I am going to steal while I am there so please put me down as general kitchen help at anytime.

But I am going to bring some of that great Missouri 'fruit of the vine"

We can always use physical help(clean up,food prep, etc).

Also there will be some folks that are putting money up front for some group expenses that should be borne by everyone.

These include: Pavilion rental, possibly some talk of porta-let rental, (although anyone is welcome to use our cabin as I hate these things...I'm sure others feel the same).

We usually chip in for beer kegs too!! :wink: :D

We usually have a "tip" jar at fri& sat night for donations to cover these out of pocket expenses, and did a 50/50 raffle and Bill Edmonson did a raffle on a hand crafted boat seat last year that he donated to this cause.

If everyone one brings a small dish of homemade healthy food,what ever it maybe, there will be enough for everyone, along with what The Great Cooks of this event usually prepare. This opens more time for social and boating issues. Unless of course cooking is your absolute passion I beg your forgiveness!!!!!!!!!!!!!! McCusker

It amazing how this works out. We have potlucks all the time and never plan a menu but always seem to have well rounded meals and plenty of it .

Now "healthy" is subject to intepretation!!!

BTW, I have taken some of those free ranging hogs with a knife and I will attest personally, they are better than anything "made in the store"

Well, since I did a stupid thing and ran out of epoxy AGAIN (this is the frigging 3rd time - you think I should learn) , I believe I will go find our meat in the morning. How many steaks will we need?

I will post pics if successful. I have 4 days to find him. That is how long it takes for more epoxy to arrive.

ok, I got the meat this morning that is if it gets back from the packing house in time.
