- Hot Rod attempt at the Glen-L Speed Record

For us Canucks, it's the last run of the season. If it blows up, it's a great excuse to build another engine for next season

Startup is around the corner . . .

How about a parade for all the boats?
This has been discussed every year, we really should do it this time.
I'm proposing a boat parade (photo op) for Sat. 11am. Good newsletter photo op.
Oak is over rated, everything about it takes extra time; then it warps, splits or checks !!!

It might be interesting to do a trailered parade through town on the way to the lakefront Saturday if it wasn't so far.

Would create some local interest/curiosity too. :?:

I dunno........after towing the boat 8-hours to get there, I doubt I will be draggin' it around town for kicks.

Hmmmm I dunno Kens,

The best part about towing her through town is that there are no boat docks to slam into! :o

I like the parade idea.....I'll be the pace boat, the rest of you will have to try and keep up! Don't worry I'll put a reef in the sail for you slower boats!

Well speak of the devil, look what the dog drug up, Mr. Pirate. His ears must have been burning this morning. Keith see if you can find Bud in your travels, you know the feller with the Capt. Morgan as his sidekick. Maybe some of the fellers can use him to find their correct campsite as has been the case in many other gatherings.

I'll give Bud a call and tell him to come on out. Now as for Captain Morgan he was last spotted hanging out in the cockpit of the Whippoorwill Image

You mention a run at the Glen-L speed record as an idea for the weekend.
Just what is the current Glen-L speed record? Not that my boat will ever beat it but that could give me a goal for the next build.

they say on Glen-l's main site that both the Tornado and Thunderbolt have went over 100mph. Of course that was on the interstate while being towed...lol....just kidding about the interstate part
