Steve, They ALL know exactly what they want. They want whatever their feelings are telling them that they want right at that moment. Of course, by the time you provide whatever they are wanting at that moment, a few minutes will have passed and they will have a totally new set of feelings telling them that they now want something different. DUH, whatsamattayou? Can you not see the logic in that?

Of course, my wife kept expaining to me that she wanted that "spark." It took me some time before I realized that the only person that could provide that "spark" would be ANYONE BUT ME! She had totally sucked all the "spark" right out of me and it's now time to move on and start looking for someone else so she can repeat the process.

Dave,

I cannot imagine the pain, HOWEVER....guess what...Happy New Year!! I will pray for great things for you this year. You are a good person and probably deserve better anyway! Immerse yourself in faith and your passion, make your passion pay for itself so that it becomes your job, and never have a bad day at work again! I have a good "feeling" about this!

Tunnelmite

Hales Bar is just downstream of Chattanooga TN., 2 miles of I-24.

Come on DOWN!

I may actually have a finished Malahini by then. I wonder if there will be lodging available? BTW, I don't know how you folks are getting from ATL to the west side of Chattanooga in 2hrs. You must be driving in the middle of the night or have been extremely lucky with the traffic pattern. I'm one of the typical 80MPH Atlanta drivers and I can't get to Chattanooga in 2hrs.

Your probably right, Jeff. Our Kids live in Acworth and it is about two hours from Chat. Add 3/4 to an hour for Atlanta.

You can call Hales Bar and reserve a cabin now. They are not taking deposits yet, so cancellation will be easy to a point closer to the Gathering. There are floaters and land left right now.

Thanks Roberta. I'll run this by my wife. She is always up for a trip.

I have a question for the group from last year. Leann says there are single floating cabins available at both ends of the dock. Which are the preferred units?

I wasn't inside either one, but the far end would be much quieter and more removed, the close one is much more in the hustle and bustle of the group depending on what you want...but the honey wagon was sitting on the close end a lot of the time pumping, so that may be a consideration although I think they were going to try and alleviate some of the day-long pumping this year.

Its fun to think about G5 now. Thermometer said -24 in my backyard this morning.

Me too Bob.
Our Thermometer is just coming up to 20 after a low of 15.
I think I could see the Glacier Coming if I got up on the barn roof!

Dave,

How are things shaping up on the cabins? Do you have an updated list?

I haven't reserved my spot yet... thinking about calling soon. Did I hear correctly, you don't put down a deposit for the reservation because it's still too early?

Kristin & I just reserved a one-bedroom floating cabin today for the Gathering. They said they still had some left (Kristin made the reservations and forgot to check how many were left).

WOOOHOO!!!
