I thought there was a motel off the exit route 24 down to the Hales Bar Marina. Does anyone recall the name of it as I would like to swing down for a couple days to enjoy the last trip I might make. Or are there any motels in the little town there??
If anyone can shed some light on the subject please do.
Jimmy

I don't remeber right now. There was a Mom and Pop motel at the next exit. And, there are seveal chain motels in Jasper. I have to get on the road right now. If nobody comes up with anything I'll seee what I can find later today.

Regards,

Bill

Theres more than half dozen hotels at exit 174 off 24 just south east of Hales Bar about 15 minutes near the town of Tifonia. Prices range from $47-129 a night.

As far as right by Hales bar exit. I saw a place called Anchor Inn bait and tackle. Its right down the street from the boat ramp. You might try calling them (423) 942-5062

Hope to see you in September.

In the course of conversation its my understanding that there are some singles thats booked larger cabins for the expressed purpose of having some additional beds and rooms for the last minute or newcomer guys and gals too.

I suspect that as G5 gets closer, you might see a cancellation or two for the cabins at Hales Bar. A lot of us made reservations immediately after G4, and as the year has gone by, things happen that can change peoples' plans.

For instance, we had an extra 2 cabins reserved because we had commitments from several friends here in Southern California that they'd join us this year, but in the past week or so some of them have backed out and we let the 2 extra cabins go back into the mix for others in the group. I don't know if anyone's snatched them up yet....

Dwain, we're looking forward to seeing you.

I gave the cabins back to Hale's Bar about 2 months ago - you' better check with them and Dave Lott if you want one.
