Tim Major has personally vetted and guaranteed each one of the bottles selected for your consumption... ;). If any are found unworthy you will be able to pickup a suitable replacement at the inaugural Aussie Gathering next year... (AG1?).

Not wanting the wine to get all the attention... Here's some information about the 'pop' I'll be bringing from MI. Some call it soda, but pop may be more appropriate since 'pop' comes from the sound you hear when you remove the cap...

Did you know that Vernors (made in MI) is "the oldest surviving ginger ale sold in the United States"? It used to be aged in wood 4 years before being sold, but now it doesn't set that long. Vernors is a sweet “golden” ginger ale that derives its color from caramel and has a robust flavor (similar to that of ginger beer). The Vernors style was common before Prohibition, when “dry” pale ginger ale (typified by Canada Dry Ginger Ale) became popular as a drink mixer. Vernors is highly carbonated. Some people drink it hot as a remedy for stomachache since ginger is thought to be the active ingredient.

Faygo is a newer (made in MI) pop. Listen to jingle (the one about memories) at the Faygo home page at https://www.faygo.com/ and you'll begin to see how FAYGO fits well with our Glen-L boats... a 'taste from the past'. 'Sorry, no 'Up Town' pop for those "too pooped to participate."

My friends and I definitly used to drink a lot of Faygo when we were kids! I was 20 cents a can verses the 50 cents that coke and pepsi products cost. That will bring back memories!!

How many of us remember when a Coca Cola was 5 cents for a 6 1/2 oz. bottle?

When will we see you at a Gathering again, Steve? It's just not the same without you and your amazing all-copper magnum chicken cooker...
