I was very liberal with my epoxy application and have quite a few drips down the side of my boat. Anybody have a preferred tool or method to sand these drips flat. I have been using an orbital and am afraid that I might be creating low spots. FYI, the expoxy is glen-l poxy-grip. Thanks.

If it's not fully cured yet, you can use a scraper like a red Devil one

you can get a lot of it off and finish with a sander.....keep the sander moving at all times

It is definately cured. Kicking myself for not paying more attention at the time.

A sharp chisel will remove the raised portion and then you wont have to sand as much.

If you are careful a scraper will still work to plane it down a little closer. Then sand.

My absolutely favorite tool for sanding epoxy is a Simonize variable speed polisher/sander. At $49 cdn they're cheap and work extremely well. They come with an 8" sanding pad, which I cut down on the bandsaw to 6" and buy the stik-on discs in a roll. Find that even 80 grit is safe to use. Speed setting at 2.
This is one purchase you won't regret.

+1 on the cabinet scraper.
