Bill, thats terrible.
didnt Ray Macke get it also?
Is it just me, or does it seem that every time I hear of the sensivtivity, it is in the hot sweaty summer?
Does the epoxy get into you thru sweat gland in your skin?
Oak is over rated, everything about it takes extra time; then it warps, splits or checks !!!

Ken

I don't know. Mine is mostly my face. Several years ago I tried East System. That stuff would burn the crap out of me anyplace it touched. I finally got rid of 4 gal. of it at one of the Gatherings for a donation to the kitty.

Dang Bill!!!! Heather looked like that when we discovered she all the sudden has a shellfish allergy a couple years ago. I really miss shrimp dinners.

Hope you feel better soon. Maybe use gorilla glue next time ! Anybody allergic to gorillas?

Sorry to hear about your bout with the epoxy. Guess we were the early test groups for the epoxy companies before they put out warnings for exposure and contact with the miracle adhesive.
:(
I have some sensitivity to it also and have to suit up properly and make sure clothes etc are washed before I wear them again. Did you have a full face respirator when you were exposed?

It's mind boggling how some people have horrible reactions while some people seem immune to the same stuff. I sometimes got a little dry skin itch from sanding glass cloth, but never seemed to be bothered by epoxy, even using stuff like lacquer thinner to wash it off. Scary.

The first picture was Saturday morning. This Monday morning and the piece I was working on.

Billy It is full face. But, the cartridge was old.

Bill: You look so much better. THat first pic was really scary. I'd keep an epi-pen handy in case I accidentally breathed it in.

The good new is don't need to go to a plastic surgeon for a chemical peal. I did that myself. And, from my many nicks and scratches are clearing up. All scabs have fallen off.
