Is Poly Grip adhesive >= Rescorcinol glue

Post by Brian Rugg »

Page 2 of Malahini building guide calls for Rescorcinol type glue. Is Poly Grip from Glen L greater than or equal to Rescorcinaol and be used as a substitute?

Thanks

Poxy-Grip from Glen L is an excellent structural adhesive for boat building. Poxy-Shield is the perfect adhesive for laminating, sealing and fiberglassing.

Proxy-Grip is amazing! No mixing in fillers or thickeners. I’m almost through my first gallon and joints that shouldn’t stick without a fastener are stuck tight enough to move the whole boat. Having done the thickened epoxy approach on a kayak I built a few years ago, this stuff is a god send!!!

Poxy-grip for structural assembly, Poxy-shield for fiberglassing or epoxy coating. Poli-Grip for your dentures! :D

Thanks to all who replied. My bad for mistakenly calling it Poly-Grip instead of the correct name Poxy-Grip. Hope I don't make the same mistake reading the plans
