More G6 videos

Postby Mr Hot Rod » Tue Jan 01, 2013 9:40 pm

Note to Moderator : The Gathering 2012 video thread is locked, so I'll post over here. Here's a link to the old thread : G6 Boat Videos

I needed a video fix today so I went through our G6 videos and came up with some footage of Rory Hamilton's Sea Knight.
I guess we'll have to put up with the bugs on the camcorder lens until I can figure out how to edit them out

Happy New Year to all !

Hey Paul, hope you don't mind if I jump in here. A little background is necessary. When I posted my video from G6, I grabbed some blues music that I had in my library, but no identification as to the artist. Well, I found the CD case and found it was by '2 Blue Shoes Band' from ST. Thomas USVI and the songs were 'Down on Hoodoo Street' and 'Worried Suit of Blues'. 2blueshoesbandvi.com ....in the meantime I posted another video about cooking squirrels or something and attached a canned audio track from my iMovie application. YouTube was on me instantly advising me I didn't have rights to the audio and would be subject to fines.....Right....First thing I did was pull down the G6 video which I did use without permission. The canned track was approved and no fines were levied. I have since noticed that my post had more hits, but there is no video at the link, so here is a fresh post with more canned music and the original sound recording of wind and whatever.

You're welcome, Rory !

Here's another one ...

Sandi and Steve Fogus didn't get to G6 until Sunday afternoon, so they missed most of the Glen-L'ers. Nick took this video of their Flying Saucer :

My apologies to Steve if I mispelt his name. We can easily fix it !

Wow, I love the way that spray rail works on the Sea Knight in the first photo. I left it off and we do get wet!

Here's the last of the G6 videos from Glen-L. This one is the fun overview of the event and would be a great video to promote any other Gatherings too. Here's the YouTube link:

Thanks to Paul & Nick for allowing that to all of us.

I just had a C&C moment.
Paul & Nick have been very good that they have videos of all of us on the Chattenoogaa river run. No doubt when Paul comes alongside we all goose it WOT for a picture moment.
In the friendly favor we should return the same to them.
My question is:
WHO is going to be the one to get a video of Mr. Hot Rod running WOT. ??? :D

Gayle : Great video ! Hat's off to Glen-L for taking the time to attend the Gatherings, providing lunch and producing the videos. I'm looking forward to this year's event !

Kens : We had a lot of fun shooting the videos. Nick did all the work -- I just had to try to keep him from falling out of the boat. We almost lost him on one of Neel's hairpin turns  Small payback for the hospitality and camaraderie which was extended to us. As for the WOT pass, we're working on it. The addition of the adjustable cavitation plates has totally changed the boat's handling. Last fall, we saw 85 MPH with more pedal to go. Glen hit a home run on that design !

I still have a rather lengthy video of the Chatanooga return trip. I'll see if I can shorten it up a bit ...

Hmmmmm ... Chelsea Quebec to Page AZ to Guild TN to Chelsea Quebec would be 5263 miles in 77 hours.

We have 11506 miles on the trailer, so it would be up another 5263 for a total of 16769 ...
