Hi all,

I will be attending the gathering but I will be without a Belle Ilse for this year
But will be there this year for sure....not sure how many of us at this stage it may end up just being myself and the 2 boys for this year.....but the whole family will be there for next year and we will plan a big trip......

If you're on the trailer bring it. We've found that there is more to learn from an unfinished boat than a finished one.

At G1 in 2007, most of us were stuck in the parking lot. Here's Bill's Tahoe :

If you can't bring the boat, you can always present a poster :

Bill,

Sorry but boat won't fit on the plane :?

Will be flying down this year......1600 Klm journey for me from where I am up north...
Also not sure what is happening work wise as the major project I am on is coming to an end
So might have a new job by then and time off for the long trip might not be possible...
But I will be there for sure...will bring some more cartons of xxxx... :D :D

Been looking into some safety issue in NSW:

Looks like life jackets don't need to be worn unless you are under 12 in NSW.
http://www.maritime.nsw.gov.au/sbh/safe ... ckets.html
I have requested the chart for the Hastings River to check it out. $7 online if anybody else wants one.
https://online.maritime.nsw.gov.au/store/default.aspx

10 Knots within 30 meters of another power vessel, 60 meters to a swimmer or unpowered vessel. The Park is also right next to a Ferry crossing I see, so have to watch that one. It should have a flashing light on it. Not sure if it is a cable ferry or not, don't think so though.
By the time I have built a boat, I'll be ready to build a boat....

Got a text from VettePilot overnight. Sadly, he has been in a car accident and damaged some vertebrae in his spine. We wish him well in his recovery but he thinks he will miss the Gathering. Never know though, might heal enough to at least attend for a short time.
Get well soon...

Less than a month now. I am very busy trying to get Gentry ready, but starting to stress as she needs to be registered and insured if I am to bring her.

Anyhow, this thread needs to start getting busy with confirmed attendance, and whatever else needs to be planned. I will definitely be there, God-willing a functional Gentry in tow.
Can't remember if we have a food thread or not. I'll bring burger patties and buns - how many?
Anyone got a video camera?
I will have my normal camera and a laptop, but it is not exactly fancy.
By the time I have built a boat, I'll be ready to build a boat....
