Well I have been sanding away at my hull trying to get ready for paint. Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but sanding kind of sucks
I still have to fill a couple of small dimples to fill, and some fillets to add to the keel strip and spray rails. I have the rest nice and smooth and fair to my eyes and hands. Only problem is that in a few areas I have sanded through to the glass (not into, just to). I have read many times here that if you reach the glass, stop and put on more epoxy, but is this necessary if I am not sanding any farther? I can't feel any difference between the areas at all.
I do not enjoy epoxying large areas (and enjoy sanding them less), but if these areas will cause problems later I will.
So my question is do I need to coat the whole thing, just around the spots where the glass is showing, or will it be OK?
Thanks for any input.
