I am experiancing problems with sheer clamps fitting,I am trying as described iin the Glen documentation but it is very difficult to bend the wood,even after boiling it.

So question is : can I substitute the wooden sheer clamp where the ply wood deck will joint with a laminated hight density foam,and if so what about the fastening of the deck .

I don't know that design, so I am having trouble visualizing your question. But in general, if you are having trouble bending a long member like a sheer clamp, you can always built it by laminating two thinner pieces in place. Obviously, the thinner pieces are easier to bend.

We prefer wood for the sheer clamp and you will need to laminate this piece as stated on the plans in the upper right corner of sheet 4. You may need more than 2 laminations. Glad to hear your progressing on your Kodiak!
