ive gotten myself in what feels like a world of &%$#@ it started off as a roted deck and stringers.. almost got done grinding the hull when i noticed the hull was made out of plywood  there are some spots that are rotted like whre the stringers sit and at the keel... i started tearing some glass off at the keel but am not sure how to adress this :?
has anyone had the same problem with the hull? how would you fix it? its a 1978 bowrider..

Most production fibergass boats have plywood inside the fiberglass to stiffen the hull. If there is any rot or delamination the damaged areas will need to be removed and replaced with sound material and then reglassed

One thing you need to address truthfully and carefully is the value when finished& the cost involved.

I once restored a labor of love,a 1966 Corsair 14' flatbottom outboard SK boat.

When done,I had $9500 in it total... when I tried for 3 years to sell it(before e-bay & internet),I finally sold the motor for $800 and the boat and trailer for $850  :x

Besure you really want this boat & the expense VS what it's really worth.
