A few things to think about:
Craig and I will be arriving at Hales Bar on Monday afternoon. We were thinking about taking some sort of a "practice river cruise" to Chattanooga on Wednesday. Not sure who will be in town, but we would love company. It would be nice to know arrival dates for everyone and maybe this would be a good thread for that.
We have hosted a buffet spaghetti dinner at our land cabin the last couple years. We are planning another this year and it will be on Thursday evening. Everyone is invited.
I have posted this before, but I have two three-bedroom land cabins reserved in my name. I will only be using one of them so the other is up for grabs. If anyone is interested, let me know and we can switch the names. For those who haven't seen these cabins, they have 3 BR, 2 Baths, full kitchen, and deck overlooking the river and marina. They are a short walk up the hill from the docks.
Bill, I think you know this, but if not, Glenn B (building Gentry in Lancaster, PA) will probably be arriving sometime Thursday and departing Sunday. He will be staying in our land cabin.

I called Hales Bar this morning and gave up land cabin #6. I will be in land cabin #7.

WELL We're down to a month! The Bartender won't be ready. Just can't do it.

This summer has been tough! Two major air-conditioner problems, and a string of other life in the way.

I don't think I'll even bring the Tahoe. So, we'll be looking for a ride to Chattanooga on Friday, lunch for the Capt. on me. If we Can't bum a ride we have lots of seats in the Expedition. I think I'll bring the wood strip canoe. But, That is a looonnnggg paddle up river

I hope you'll change your mind about bringing the Tahoe. The first time I saw it was in Guntersville the 2008 gathering. Yours, Butch's and Bill Yonescu's Tahoes really lit my fire!
Who knows, maybe (no, for sure) somebody wandering around at G-9 is just waiting to be bitten by the boat building bug.
And....with all the gawkers salivating over Roberta's Torpedo, we'll need some other boats to look at.
In any event, you have seats with us if you need them.

I'll look again at bringing the Tahoe. I think about when Bob Maskel rode with me to Chattanooga and last year when you and I ran side by side all the way coming back, those are really good memories! I think about Denzil & Vida Duncan with us and a couple who just said they were living their dream(I can't remember the names right now. But, I think they were from Wisconsin.).

It's hard to give that up.
