Table Rock Lake - Branson, MO

Postby Andy Garrett » Tue Aug 09, 2016 6:08 am

Pulled the camper and Zip to Branson this past weekend. The rain was omnipresent but I did manage to get on the water for about an hour for a sunset cruise Sunday evening.
This was the first time I ever ran with my nav lights and the first time I ran with four people aboard.

Those trim tabs I've been hot and cold on for so long would have been nice with that loading, but we did alright once it got on plane.

Table Rock itself was incredible! Big Cedar Lodge has a great marina and would be a nice centralized spot for a future gathering perhaps.

Almost put in on Lake Taneycomo on Saturday, but the downpour started while I was putting the plugs in on the ramp. That water was 51*, while Table Rock was 89*..., crazy! The fog was so dense it would have been dangerous!

If Table Rock is within striking distance, I recommend it!

Perhaps the slowest Zip build in Glen-L history...

We were there for the ACBS International. Stayed at Big Cedar. Nice.

Heading to Big Cedar in March for SB to chase the Crappie. Man I hope that water warms up enough to get them moving into shallow water.

Home away from home.

New shoes on truck, check, spare tire on truck aired up, check, trailer bearings greased, check, Fishn tackle, Check, poles, Check, FUN LOADED, CHECK!

Well, we’re head out on Sunday and I cannot wait to be on the lake. Lake reports are calling for snags floating in the lake so we will need to be careful. Let’s hope it’s warmed enough for the crappie and WB to move up.

The only experience I have at table rock is my dad hiring a guide and us all getting skunked. I think we did better the next day in our own boat. You'll have a great time I'm sure. Last week we ate some crappie from last fall.

Well I reckon I’ll fit right in.

Hoodman, we have really not had a lot of luck there. We’ve been several times but always in the summer. Thus year we are targeting the pre-spawn. Let’s hope it pays off but may still be too early as water temps aren’t real high yet.

Well, it was chilly so the fishing was slow. Had a great time.

Looks like the chill in the air didn't hurt the smiles any.
