G-10 Lunch Run

Post by neel thompson » Fri Aug 19, 2016 4:33 am

As we get closer to G-10, I need to get a fairly accurate idea of how many people and how many boats will be making the "Lunch Run" on Friday, 9/16. We will leave HB around 10 AM and plan on returning to Hales Bar around 3:30 PM. I will make arrangements at the marina in Chattanooga for the boats and make lunch reservations at the restaurant. So I need to know if your will be taking your boat, how many in your party, and if you can take any additional passengers. I would also like to know if you plan on going but don't have a ride. Also, if you plan to drive to the restaurant to meet the group please let me know that as well....

So I will start it off

I will be taking my Gentry which seats four. Craig F, Howard and Laura B, and I will go in my boat

Neel: I will be there and would like a ride which I currently do not have. If I can't get a ride, I will drive.

Rich and I will be in the Torpedo. We are unable to take any additional passengers.

Neel,
Thanks for organizing this.

We will be taking the Malahini. I can take 2 or 3.

My wife and I will be going to lunch in our Belle Isle and we can carry 5 additional people. The back cockpit has limited leg room but can accommodate two people 5" 8" or less quite easily. Thanks for setting this up.

The Monte Carlo and Zip will be going.

How far is this boating adventure? Is it too far for a Squirt?

For the most part we run mid 20's. The big dogs will run faster, then slow up and wait. The Tenn. River has hard steep banks. Boat wakes reflect and it can get a little rough back in the pack. We usually have plenty of extra seats.

My wife Rosemary and I will be there for lunch. We'd appreciate a ride if one's available.
