Good news! Now just a matter of getting it back to you. Gonna be an interesting tale to tell at the gathering?

Glad to hear it was found! Thats amazing! I hope its in great shape. Some forum members come to mind from that general region that might be able to help or know of someone that can. Bulldogboater, Two-J's, Ts9174,

If someone can get it close to the GA/AL line, I'll try to meet them and get it to B'ham. Then to about the MS/TN line.

Very glad the boat was found and coordinated efforts are being made to return it. Count me in for 5 or 6 hours driving if it gets out my way. Heard something about Oklahoma might be its destination.
Maybe someone could go through a drive through muffler shop somewhere, I’d pitch in $$ for one.

I talked to Kevin B via Facebook. He said he will check in to the forum as his trip next week through Hartwell gets closer and see what the current situation is then. Reynolty, his username here is bulldogboater.

So grateful for everyone's help. Spent almost 10 hours on the road today and are now stopped at Albuquerque for the night.
My inlaws offered to complete the last leg of any relay towards their home in OKC- not sure which direction Kevin is headed but if his trip works out along with the other handoffs this might just be possible!
Thanks again to everyone, will continue to update

I can meet someone on I-20 near the AL/GA line. I'd bring the boat to my house in B'ham. I can make arrangements to take it toward Memphis up I-22/US78 AL/TN line. From Memphis it's I-40 to OKC.

So glad to hear it has been found! I'm in SC, about an hour from Hartwell, but in the wrong direction (east). I could offer some free storage here, or possibly meet someone in Atlanta on Saturday.

Hey all- been a long few days but Kelli and I and Griffin are finally settled in to a nice RV park as we look for a long term house in Oregon. We found, bought, and moved into a travel trailer in 3 days flat. It took a lot of messages but we got a call back from the insurance agent about the next step forward. They sent an inspector out and the good news is that there appears to be no damage. Geico is still completing their investigation (the police have the guy that stole it so not sure what is taking so long), but I am supposed to get a call soon on the insurance company shipping back to Tupelo or even possibly all the way to Oklahoma City. Hopefully it is the latter as that option would take the least amount of effort from everyone.
Right now we are in the same old holding pattern. Thanks for continuing to keep all options available if geico opts not to ship- they said they normally dont but our situation was a little different.

Re: Vroom vroom is gone
Long overdue for another update-
Another busy week as I started my new job in the US Coast Guard after leaving the Army. The insurance company came through in a big way and got vroom vroom moved out of the police impound lot and over to a private company (the impound lot would only accept cash or certified business check to release a vehicle). This let me schedule a freight carrier to pick it up. Is is supposed to move from GA on monday and arrive to OK a day later. Expense wise it wont be too bad for us, as geico is picking up the majority of the bill.
Thanks again to everyone for all the offerings of help and the genuine concern, it looks like vroom vroom is going to sit in Oklahoma for the next year and quite possibly make it to the gathering 2019 if I can get leave approved and find a vehicle to tow it! Google calls it a scant 11 hour and 45 minute drive, a mere drop in the bucket compared to what some of you did!
