Hello from Louisiana. Ginny and I will be bringing "Drift Wood", a recently completed Ski King that is highly modified. We will be in our motorhome towing a 20' cargo trailer. We have reserved an RV space but will need a spot to park the trailer out of the way.
We are looking forward to meeting everyone and hope we get a ride in the boat. Kelvin Franks

They made everybody unhook their empty boat trailers and park them in a certain area last year. I don't really know why, but they were really adamant about it.

Hey everyone, we had such a great time last year meeting you all. Sad to hear some of you won't be making the trip this year. We are still not sure if we will make it either but we are really enjoying the thunderbolt here at home. Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy, and hope to see some of you in sept.

It was so cool to see that boat last year. It's definitely the boat I am most afraid to ride in!

I just posted on the COVID thread...we are out this year. Disappoints me to no end, but it is what it is I guess. We will miss everyone and everything that is 'The Gathering'. I has been a serious high point for me every year since the beginning.

Saddens me greatly.

See y'all next year.

I am sad to report that we have canceled our reservation and will not attend G14.
Our cancellation is less about Covid and more about family and scheduling. We are currently in Seattle awaiting the birth of our sixth grandchild. The baby is due mid to late August, but who knows. Our kids, due to Covid, also want two weeks of separation after the baby is born before we can hold the baby.
This makes the scheduling for attending G-14 tenuous. We drove to Seattle with our travel trailer. Since we keep our boat at Lake of the Ozarks, we would have to get home from Seattle, clean and store our travel trailer, prepare the boat trailer, head to the Ozarks to pull the boat, and then head to Hales Bar. There is a good chance the timing would not work out so we regretfully decided to play it safe and cancel.
We always look forward to the good food, friendship and boating. We will miss it and look forward to next year.

Shaping up to be a light turn out. We may be able to scale down the meal schedule this year.

I'd be okay with eating a bologna sandwich on the dock in Chattanooga if I have to.

I'm here waiting for y'all to show up. I can say that the cabins are being wiped down and all linens are being taken off site and professionally cleaned and replaced between guests. Still wouldnt be a bad idea to bring your own disinfectant and do your own wiping down. I haven't seen any covid cases up here personally. One girl on the docks thought she may have had it months ago but never got tested and always keeps her distance even today. I hate that so many are canceling but its understandable. I personally feel fairly safe but cautious here. Its a rural area with less population than most. Chattanooga has a mandatory mask thing currently but i dont go there often if at all. Hope you all stay safe and I look forward to seeing some of you soon and the rest next year. Now i need to get some more varnish on the teak. Gotta look pretty for those who make it
