I have a 1984 force 50 that needs a spark plug wire. I found and bought one off ebay (the ONLY place I could find this specific plug wire) the only problem is it's way to short. Will it be possible for me to disconnect both ends of the wire and buy a length of plug wire from the local outdoor equipment shop?

It's the type of plug wire that just pushes in on one end with the boot on the other.

Nothing beats try but a failure. Frankly I don't know anything about the Force engine even though they were the same as another brand, but stripped down. But I bet that you can find something simular to it thats longer and loop it and it would work too. I think in most cases the correct length has more to do with fitting in confined areas and making sure that they don't get hooked up wrong when servicing the engine too.

It will be fine. Just make sure you use the same type of wire, either copper or resistive type. Make it the same length and carefully insert into the new connectors.
