great set up for a small diesel

Post by Oyster » Mon Dec 19, 2011 3:58 pm

People are always bummed out that small diesels are almost non existant unless you pay an arm and a leg for them. I have personally used a simular engine setup and these are hard to come by, or at least its been my experience. If a person wants a moderate speed diesel in some inboard run around mess around small hull, this is the ticket, IMO. No affiliation

Actually doesn't look bad for an 1896?
I'm not certain since they appear to be hiding the trans, but is it a severe down angle?
Some Westerbekes were marinized VWs and had a good rep.
