Just an update on this project- I already have the casting boxes built and am starting on the outside log pattern.

those also fit the 300 Buick, correct?
Oak is over rated, everything about it takes extra time; then it warps, splits or checks !!!

This may not be news, but seller br549junior has a set of Edelbrock manifolds on e-bay
Buy it now $2,000. I could not find an item number and can't do the link thing.

I ordered a pair of Glenwood elbows today. The #708 with 80 degree bend and a 4" flange. I need to have a set in my hands just to make sure my log diminsions will work with the Glenwood elbows and risers. I will wait on delivery before I start on the log pattern.

I received the elbows from Glenwood today. That was fast shipping and service!
Here is a photo of the elbows with a pair of Graymarine aluminum 215 manifolds. The Graymarines have a few added bosses on them that won't be on my manifolds, plus the water will enter and exit from the front end of the manifold and not from the top like these show.
I am going to be busy on another project at work for the next couple of weeks and probably won't be able to get back to work on the pattern for the manifolds until after Christmas.

Thanx for the update, Jon!
I´m not sure if I understand how the water is going to flow through the manifolds and out through the riser/elbow yet....?
I´m having a closed water cooling system with a heat exchanger so maybee it´s just the return fresh water from the exchanger that will run through the riser/elbow and mix with the exhaust fumes in my case?!

Sorry, I have to ask cause I´m a newbee on this type of installation...

You are correct. With your closed cooling system the fresh water picked up with your sea pump will go through the heat exchanger and exit through the elbow or riser to help cool the exhaust hose and it also helps silence the exhaust noise. Your permanent antifreez/coolant will enter the manifold on the front end of the manifold through a plate that will bolted on to cap the manifold and water jackets and it will then exit through the same plate. The 1/2" pipe thread holes in the plate will align with the water jackets in a way to promote water to flow from front to back on the top side of the manifold then from back to front on the side and bottom of the There might be a photo of a rectangular manifold with this type of water flow in the Glenwood online catalog.
