What year is it ?

Postby chugalug » Sun Jul 10, 2016 7:15 am

I have an older Evinrude 15 hp motor that I want to fix up(new carb parts etc.)The parts places want the model # and here is my problem:On my motor, the company put a sticker with #'s printed on instead of a stamped plate.all the #'s are rubbed off.Maybe someone can recognize the year by color of hood

Serial number should be stamped on it somewhere.

:D Serial# is supposed to be on freeze plug somewhere.haven't found it yet.probably under something; it's got electric start so everything is crammed in there.a little more room when I removed mouse nest and 3 baby mice.

Colour and hood design look to be late 80's (88/89)/early 90's (90-92).

That's my guess :)
