Does anyone have any experience with 4 stroke Suzuki outboards?
I recently had a long talk with a local outboard motor mechanic in my area about Evinrude Etec, Mercury, and Yamaha 4 strokes. One of his comments is that many of his customers have switched over to Suzuki. My area has one of the top large mouth fishing lakes in the country, Lake Seminole, so he sees lots of boats/motors. He said there has been a switch away from Mercury toward this Suzuki due to one, the 7 year warranty that comes with the motors. I went to the website and viewed the engine and to be honest, it looks just as good but beyond that, I have no idea. The weight actually was slightly lighter than the 2 stroke Evinrude which surprised me being the Suzuki is a 4 stroke. I don't see me switching away from Evinrude but who knows.

On the Alabama Gulf coast Suzuki is gaining a big presents. They seem to be very good engines and cost much less than Yamaha. Go e-tec for 2-stroke.
